UPDATE ON TODAY'S VISIT TO OUR INDEFATIGABLE CLIENT – ONYENDU MAZI NNAMDI KANU - AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE SERVICES (DSS), ABUJA, WHERE HE IS BEING ILLEGALLY AND UNCONSTITUTIONALLY DETAINED IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT:

We visited our indefatigable Client – Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu today, being the 6th day of March, 2023, at the Headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS) to confer with him on our position towards addressing issues raised in various legal correspondences on matters before the Supreme Court.

The visit also provided us an opportunity to further find out Onyendu’s present health status. Onyendu, who looked visibly frail, once again narrated to me how his body has been turned into “trial and error experiment” by the quack in-house medical practitioners recruited by the DSS who ostensibly knows next to nothing about Onyendu’s peculiar health condition.
Onyendu was emphatic that he is in dire need of the service of a cardiologist for a comprehensive medical examination.
Onyendu lamented that one particular doctor with the DSS who first diagnosed the speedy depreciation in his potassium level was sacked early last year by the vindictive agency, for daring to make such profound findings.

It is on this note that we are calling on the Federal Government of Nigeria to immediately release Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from the custody of the DSS, in line with the unambiguous order of the Court of Appeal which discharged him and forbade his further detention.

Onyendu is being today detained not because he has any pending charge but because the Federal Government does not want him to be released against the positive order of court. They also do not want to prosecute the appeal they filed at the Supreme Court.

Onyendu reiterated that the DSS lack adequate facility to manage his deteriorating health condition.

He further observed that all the inferior quality/adulterated drugs he is being administered, has no impact whatsoever on his deteriorating health condition.

Nevertheless, I had far reaching discussions with Onyendu on other compelling matters which remains private;
the key points of our briefs have been taken up by our erudite Lead Counsel- Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, to address this palpable concerns on Onyendu’s present debilitating health condition.

In his usual characteristic manner, Onyendu thanked Ezigbo UmuChineke, who have remained formidable and uncompromising in this trying period. He urged you all never to falter on your prayers and peaceful conduct as you have always demonstrated.

Thank you all, Ezigbo UmuChineke, and remain blessed.

We move!

Signed:
Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Esq. (KSC)
