A member of the IPOB Directorate Of States, @ChinasaNworu has narrated how the IPOB M-Branch intelligence Corp identified the crux of the criminality, crime spike that has bedeviled Imo State for the past years in Imo state primarily in Orlu zone where criminals masquerading as Biafra agitators has continued to terrorize indigenes, residents and travelers.
Mazi Chinasa in a post on his verified X handle, stated that the criminality ongoing in Orlu zone and Imo state at large has nothing to do with Biafra agitation . He questioned the strategic significance of Orlu and its environs, in military and territorial terms and why it has been an area of concentration for criminals masquerading as Biafra agitators and posited that there is absolutely none, as Imo State is not geographically located in the boundaries of Biafraland neither does it have any tactical military advantage against the Nigerian security agencies, apparatus to warrant the violence ongoing in this axis.
He went further to say that the criminality in Orlu is being fueled by drug running syndicates owned by 6 Orlu indigenes [identity withheld] who are returnees from South Africa. These criminal elements has production sites of the notorious Crystal Meth locally known as "Mkpurumiri" littering across the horizon and distributions are made through hotels which they own in various places especially in the Owerri metropolis, Imo State capital.
He also stated that most socialite billionaires, the Nigeria security agencies, the Imo State government are aware of this crimes and are directly involved in it either by receiving commissions from the drug peddlers to buy out their silence or directly involved in its peddling, citing the case of the disgraced 'super cop' Abba Kyari who was detained and prosecuted for involvement in drugs distribution few years ago.
Furthermore, he posited that the killings ongoing in this axis are mostly inspired by the drug runners, per intelligence gathering by the M-Branch. Finally, he vowed that IPOB Leadership has resolved to go after these drug syndicates since the Nigerian Security agencies will not do so. Read his statement in full;👇
