WHEN IGBOS ARE THREATENED THEY RETURN HOME.

Igbos have always returned home when they are threatened, Right from precolonial era,the Ezechime movement (13th/16th centuries) who’s clan ran away from the vicinity of Benin when they faced hostilities and all returned towards one direction, moving towards east and even crossing over the Niger for safety.

Following the cancellation of June 12 election, Igbos and other southerners panicked, with many retuning home in a mass movement called “Oso Abiola”.

Recall also shortly before the civil war, many Igbos recoiled back to east following the massacres in Kano,Jos and other part of North.
