Recently, the level of fake news flying around is not healthy for our struggle and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. We must be watchful and careful to avoid being manufacturing and distributors of fake news, knowingly or unknowingly.
The news about Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe shutting down the national assembly in demands of the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is Fake and total disinformation, being trotted out by some misguided fellows with questionable character
The News of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu son winning best student in New York is fake.
The News of a new judge stepping down in Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case is blatant lie and false.
The News of Binta Nyako praising Nnamdi Kanu is also fabricated and lies.
Clearly, there is a pattern going on here being sponsored by unarguably the government to trot out so much misinformation via a variety of sources to daunce the authenticity of information concerning the Biafra struggle being circulated, especially as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu case is drawing near.
Sadly, so many of our people are gullibly falling for these outright lies and disinformation. Many people have shared these news without knowing that they were fake. With what we have underwent during the time of Ekpa, we should learn to verify information not only with our emotions but with our instincts and common sense.
Desperation to get and deseminate positive news about the Biafra struggle should not push us to embrace the fabrication and sharing fake information, for it will destroy and discredit our struggle and the seriousness of what we are doing as global noble movement.
Verify every news before sharing, look for some comrades, ask questions regarding sensitive information about our struggle. Let us join hands and destroy every source of fake news in IPOB in this perilous and injury time of our struggle. Fake News destroy and discredit organisation. We must not fall for this sinister agenda trotted out by the powers that be.
