The Directorate of States of the Indigenous People of Biafra by this press release extends our sincere gratitude to the Biafran people, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom for your peaceful and dignified observance of this year’s Biafra Heroes Day, May 30, 2026.

Your decision to pause, reflect, and honour the memory of the men, women, and children who died fighting for Biafra’s freedom shows unity, discipline, and respect for our shared history.
Through moments of silence, prayer, and remembrance in our homes, squares, Churches, synagogues, Shrines and other sacred places and communities, you have kept alive the sacrifices of those who paid the ultimate price with their lives for the cause of self-determination.

Biafra Heroes Day is a reminder that the ideals of freedom, dignity, and justice are worth remembering.
Biafra People has once again demonstrated commitment to remembering our fallen heroes with solemnity and purpose.
