IPOB has never opposed those observing the Monday sit-at-home, as it is their right to do so. IPOB has also blasted Soludo for trying to use force against traders who are voluntarily exercising their right to civil protest.
The Monday sit-at-home has been ongoing since the first day Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, through DOS, cancelled it. After that cancellation, people revolted and insisted that, despite the cancellation, they would continue to observe it.
IPOB understands that it is their right to civil protest, but what IPOB opposes is Nigerian agents with guns enforcing it on people in the name of IPOB to blackmail the global movement.
That is the reason IPOB does not want to get involved in the current situation mostly in Anambra. This is a traders’ protest. If you involve IPOB, the Nigerian establishment will kill our people on that day to prove a point that IPOB is enforcing their sit at home. You don’t know the reason for the sudden resurfacing of Gentle de Yahoo and his group. These are things we must put in consideration for the sake of our people.
As you know, sit-at-home compliance is not always 100%. They will always kill those they see on the road just to blackmail IPOB. Our people should learn from the past. By now, you should understand how devilish and desperate Nigeria is to blackmail IPOB.
The distancing of IPOB from the Monday sit-at-home, especially in this Anambra matter is highly tactical and security wise for the safety of our people to protect the global image of IPOB.
A Nigerian government that murdered its own soldiers in a false flag operation to frame IPOB is ready to murder 1,000 people in Anambra to point accusing fingers at IPOB. We don’t want the blood of our people to spilled anymore.
We must be wise and wisdom personified while dealing with the Nigerian government. IPOB is not against civil protest, but they have insisted they do not want to be dragged into this for the reasons explained above.
