The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to alert Biafrans ,friends of Biafra, lovers and haters of Biafra freedom across the world that going forward no one will ridicule this unstoppable divine peaceful movement and go scot-free. Therefore, we and our legal team are out now to legally handle the nonsensical attitude of some enemies of Biafra who make libelous accusations against IPOB to serve as a deterrent to others.
To that effect, we are happy that our attorney, Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, ESQ. has filed a ₦50,000,000,000.00 (FIFTY BILLION NAIRA ONLY), DEFAMATION SUIT AGAINST CABLE MEDIA AND PUBLISHING LIMITED (AKA TheCable).
This will serve as a deterrent to other compromised media houses and individuals in Nigeria and the world in general. IPOB is never a pushover and will never be one. If you are paid to blackmail or defame IPOB, make sure you have your facts correct. otherwise, we will deal with you and your sponsors in the courtroom. This is just the beginning. By the time IPOB's legal team uses our legal fire power to deal with The Cable Media, they will learn to do professional investigative journalism before publishing any report.
IPOB is more peaceful than anybody or group speaking ignorantly against us. We are more civil than what they think. There is no group that can tolerate 5% of what IPOB has tolerated in the hands of the Nigeria government and her security agencies in the last 10 years without being violent and brutal. Yet in the face of all oppression, illegal abduction and detentions, extrajudicial murders, kidnaps, and extraordinary rendition of our leader from Kenya to Nigeria, we have remained peaceful and civil. Anyone linking IPOB to state sponsored criminal activities in the East is either paid by the federal government of Nigeria to do so or speaking out of ignorance.
Cable News Network must produce the faceless DSS agents called ADEYEMI ADOGOKE ADEYEMI in court to prove his accusations against IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi KANU and IPOB's Legal Team particularly Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor. IPOB is not ignorant of both internal and external enemies of Mazi Nnamdi KANU and the movement. nevertheless, one by one, every hidden enemy will be fished out at the right time.
IPOB members congratulate our legal team for their astute professional defense of the struggle.
The failure and refusal of TheCable media outfit to issue a retraction and an unreserved apology, in respect of their offending defamatory publication, authored by a purported Adeyemi Adegoke Olumide and published on their platform on the 11th day of March, 2023; our councils led by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor ESQ have to, upon the expiration of the 24-hour NOTICE given to them to retract their offending publication, commence a defamatory suit before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, against the outfit. IPOB family, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and our legal team have a moral and legal right to defend ourselves from any accusations before the law. To that end, IPOB say, "Ndewo" to
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor for bringing back the pride of IPOB and our leader.
We shall keep the public abreast of every development in this case as we progress because we shall no longer ignore media "profiteers" whose interest is to defame IPOB. There must be legal consequences for every infraction, and the law must run its full course, as always.
