UPDATE ON TODAY'S VISIT TO OUR INDEFATIGABLE CLIENT – ONYENDU MAZI NNAMDI KANU, AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE STATE SECURITY SERVICE (SSS), ABUJA, WHERE HE IS STILL BEING ILLEGALLY AND UNCONSTITUTIONALLY DETAINED IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT:

We visited our indefatigable Client – Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu – today, being the 10th day of July 2023, at the SSS Headquarters, Abuja, in the company of two Chief Medical Consultants recommended by Onyendu’s adorable Wife – Her Excellency, Lolo Uchechi Okwu Kanu, for the long overdue all important medical visit.

The details/particulars of the seasoned Medical Practitioners who visited Onyendu today had been forwarded to the SSS by our erudite Lead Counsel– Prof Mike Ozekhome, SAN, 96 hours before the scheduled visit.

Since today’s visit was exclusively dedicated for Onyendu’s personal interface with the new set of medical experts visiting him for the first time, he spent well over three hours on this medical consultancy, and lots were discussed and exposed which shall remain private until the second phase of the visit is concluded.

It is to be noted, and indeed publicly stated that last week’s routine visit to Onyendu was aborted due to the SSS penchant for violation of the Order of Court, which stipulates that the detention authority should always allow Onyendu access to three persons visiting him at every of the assigned dates. This continued flouting of the positive Order of Court resulted in Onyendu’s objection last week; and typical of the SSS, they completely denied us access to Onyendu the whole of last week before the impasse was finally altered today.

Onyendu was further briefed on his matter coming up before the Federal High Court Abuja, tomorrow, the 11th day of July 2023, and the readiness of his legal team, ably led by Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, for a productive outing tomorrow. Other compelling aspect of the briefing as it relates to our professional engagements shall remain private.

In conclusion, Onyendu thanked you all, Ezigbo UmuChineke for standing shoulder to shoulder with him, particularly at this critical time, and he proceeded to assure Ezigbo UmuChineke that there will surely be light at the end of the tunnel.

He urges you all, Ezigbo UmuChineke to continue to abide by your peaceful conduct as you have relentlessly demonstrated.

Thank you all, Ezigbo UmuChineke, and remain blessed.

We move!

Signed:
Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Esq. (KSC)
IPOB Lead Counsel
