Miss Godwin Idara's fundamental rights enforcement came up today 17 May 2022 at Federal High Court Abuja. This application has been filed since November 2021.
Recalled that this matter was earlier adjourned to 21 July 2022 by Justice Maha of FHC Abuja after in which she has been avoiding the hearing of the matter for uncertain reasons.
The applicants lawyer Barrister Nnaemeka Ejiofor further received a notice that the matter has been rescheduled for hearing on 17 May and he was in court today for the hearing.
It was a serious arguments today in the court room as Justice Maha said she is not ready to hear the matter, but the applicants lawyer was able to convinced the court on the reason and importance of the hearing today, the court proceeded in hearing the matter due to the superior legal points made by the Idara's lawyer
The judgement for the fundamental rights is coming up on 30th June 2022.
There are other legal strategies on ground to secure her unconditionally release
Meanwhile Idara has yet been arranged to court by the DSS and they have continued to denied both the lawyer and relations for visiting or having access to her, ever since the day she was unlawfully arrested men of DSS operatives on 8th November 2021.
